Heart for the Nations International is the operating name of Labourers in the Harvest Field Christian Ministries of Slave Lake (Labourers).  Heart for the Nations International (HFNI) is the operating ministry and Labourers is the designated charity.

The difference between a network church and a project church is as follows:

 

The network church is a church that is under the HFNI's endorsement with the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies of Canada (FCA) or an international church or a Canadian Church that is under the apostolic leadership of HFNI, member with FCA or not.  Not all connected churches are "network" churches.  Some network churches were planted with the assistance of HFNI.

A project church is one that has an agency agreement whereby they conduct a "project" of operating a church through the agreement.  A project church will ultimately have an agreement with "Labourers" as the designated charity that authorizes charitable activities as defined by Canada Revenue Agency.  These churches on the most part do not have charity status, but either operate under Labourer's direction and stay that way, or they have an application to Canada Revenue Agency, waiting for approval of charity status.  A project church may or may not be part of the HFNI network.

A ministry under HFNI would be either an itinerant minister, or a ministry that is considered a "para-church" ministry.  A ministry may be a project ministry conducting charitable activities as an agent of Labourers, or not. For the most part the ministry will have direct ties to HFNI.

Pastors are also endorsed by HFNI to be licensed, ordained and given marriage privileges under provincial law in Canada through the FCA..  They may or may not be part of the HFNI network.  New ministers and pastors who become endorsed with HFNI are put through a rigorous vetting process by the HFNI team of elders and Board Members.  The endorsement process is also done under the FCA rules and guidelines.
