CANADA INDIGENOUS

RELATIONSHIP. RESPECT. RESTORATION. HOPE

Equipping churches and strengthening communities through Indigenous ministry.

CAROL BRZEZICKI

A Métis woman with deep roots in her community and a lifelong commitment to serving Indigenous people and families across Canada.

A HEART FOR HER PEOPLE

Born in Peavine Métis Settlement in northern Alberta, Carol has dedicated her life to strengthening families, supporting communities, and advocating for healing through relationship, education, and hope.

Through ministry, Indigenous leadership, and community advocacy, her passion remains the same: to see people empowered, communities restored, and future generations encouraged through faith and compassion.

HER STORY & LEADERSHIP JOURNEY

Carol moved to Edmonton at the age of 18, where she later met her husband Rick Brzezicki. Together they built their family and entered ministry after giving their lives to Jesus Christ in 1986.

Before stepping into leadership and advocacy work, Carol served nearly ten years as a Correctional Officer, a season that shaped her compassion for people and communities facing hardship and restoration.

Carol later pursued post-secondary education at Concordia College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Psychology. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Health Studies through Athabasca University and furthered her studies through Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Throughout her career, Carol has worked extensively in Indigenous child and family services, community health, and Métis leadership organizations across Alberta.

Her leadership has included advisory work connected to the “Restoring Dignity” report and contributions to the Indian Residential School Resolution Settlement Agreement.
